Blackheads are blackish/yellowish bumps that form on the skin as a result of the buildup of oil in skin pores and are normally seen within the first stage of acne, before it develops into skin inflammation or infection.
There are a few ways that one can remove blackheads on the nose. Here are just a few options:
Topical Retinoids
This is one of the more popular treatment options when removing blackheads on the nose. There are many retinoids available today within the market that should successfully remove blackheads and prevent future outbreaks from occurring.
Chemical Peels
These skin care products are used to help prevent blackheads and work in a quick manner. Chemical peels should not be used if topical retinoids are being used.
Pore Strips
Blackhead strips are probably the most common remedy that exists for the removal of blackheads on the nose. They are placed on the nose usually for a short duration of time (about 10 minutes or so) and then peeled away. When the strip is peeled away the blackhead is pulled out of the skin. A quick and easy fix for those who suffer with blackheads.
Cleansing
Making sure to cleanse and dry skin once or twice a day is important in the removal and prevention of blackheads. Doing so on a regular basis helps eliminate the buildup of dirt and oil and prevents skin pores from becoming clogged. Avoiding excessive makeup on the face and making sure to remove makeup before bed can also be beneficial in eliminating blackheads.
Exfoliation
There are many exfoliating products out there that can be effective in the treatment and removal of blackheads on the nose. Some of the most effective ones contain the ingredient Benzyl Peroxide. This ingredient is so effective because it helps remove dead skin cells that clog the skin pores and effectively removes the blackheads along with it. It also is a good mild treatment for the skin.
Healthy Diet
Maintaining a healthy diet is beneficial in the prevention of blackheads. Eating less oil and drinking more water and staying hydrated can help a great deal in decreasing a person’s oiliness in the skin.
