Plexaderm Review 2021: Is It A Scam? Learn The Truth

Written by: Joseph Mauro

In this Plexaderm review we will explain to you what is Plexaderm, how does it work, what are its ingredients, side effects, show you real customer testimonials, give you prices & recommend best alternative.

plexaderm review

There are an awful lot of positive Plexaderm reviews out there on various websites and blogs.

It’s got quite a following and a lot of claims made about the amazing results it has on the appearance of wrinkles.

I wanted to take a look in detail at Plexaderm eye cream, and the claims around how good it is at eliminating bags under the eyes and the general appearance of wrinkles on the face.

I’m skeptical about some of the claims, and I want to get to the bottom of them to see what the truth is about this anti-aging cream.

What Is Plexaderm?

plexaderm reviews: before after

It is a topically applied anti aging skin serum that claims to work instantly.

It is meant to lift wrinkles and lessen bags under the eyes, giving a healthier and younger looking complexion.

It’s also often called Plexaderm rapid reduction cream, and sometimes rapid wrinkle remover.

The company who make it claim that it uses a special technology that creates a genuine alternative to surgery or Botox injections.

That’s quite a set of claims.

Plexaderm Ingredients

plexaderm ingredients

So is there any ingredient in this anti-aging cream that can have the dramatic effects the company who make Plexaderm claim?

The company is actually quite vague about the actual ingredients in this product, but they claims that it contains:

  • Skin tightening crystals
  • Moisturizing agents
  • Light diffusing ingredients

That’s enough detail to give a good insight into how the product tries to achieve what it sets out to do.

Basically the skin tightening crystals are silicate.

This is a pretty common anti-aging cream ingredient.

This product is therefore a short-term filler and tightener and not a long-term solution.

It will fill in your wrinkles, help to smooth the fine lines and create the illusion of smooth skin by altering the way light bounces on your face.

In effect, this is a bit of a mirage product.

Does Plexaderm Really Work?

plexaderm before after photos

The company does not list any specific scientific studies or clinical trials that prove its product lives up to the claims they make.

There is precious little evidence to back up what they say.

Ingredients are general and common with too many other similar products, so there’s nothing specifically in the anti aging cream here that can do anything different to the multitude of other products on the market.

It is applied using a syringe style container.

I think that’s designed to make it feel a bit like Botox.

In terms of how it works, it creates the illusion of wrinkles vanishing by temporarily filling them in and putting a sheen on your skin that bounces light off to minimize the effect of light and dark caused by wrinkles.

So it is a mask that works for a few hours.

That may be great for you, but I think that the description of it as a skin serum that instantly starts to change the effects of aging are very over the top.

One positive is that there don’t seem to be any notable Plexaderm side effects beyond the usual disclaimer that some people may suffer minor skin irritation.

I think that also highlights how general the product ingredients are.

Plexaderm Side Effects

plexaderm side effects

According to the official website of the product, no side effects are expected to develop in the user.

This seems beneficial at first, but when we look at reviews found on the third-party website, it seems like some users have reported side effects.

In particular a burning sensation, as well as swelling.

This may be due to an allergic reaction, making it important for users to first do an allergy test before applying the serum to their face.

Where To Buy Plexaderm?

plexaderm reviews official website

Cost of this serum is generally quite high for the limited effects it can produce as an eye cream.

Generally you can only buy it from the main website or official retail partners.

You can occasionally find Plexaderm on Amazon and eBay, but this is not an official sales source.

I find this quite concerning.

If you do a search on Google for “buy plexaderm” you find that apart from the main website, there are virtually no other sources you can purchase this product from.

Why is it being kept so tightly sold and kept away from general sale sites?

I’m guessing because they want to control the feedback of this product which I think would be mostly negative.

Plexaderm Price

plexadem pricesIn terms of price:

  • 1 Bottle (TV Special): $59.95
  • 3 Bottles: Buy 2 Get 1 Free Special (Better Value): $119.90
  • 6 Bottles (Best Value): $229.80

One thing to watch out for if buying from the main website is that there is a preferred customer program.

This is a way of sometimes unwittingly locking you into a repeat purchase cycle using automated billing.

Many people have been caught out by this without realizing they had signed up to receive repeat billing.

Plexaderm Reviews & Complaints

plexaderm reviews

I have to say I’m incredibly suspicious of a product when I can’t find it sold anywhere with real and unedited user reviews.

This is the case with this product.

You can only really buy it from the company’s own website and a few other partnered sellers, this means they tightly control the feedback left for the product.

I can’t find it sold anywhere where there seemed to be genuine customer testimonials.

This is one of the first reviews of a skin product I have ever done where I cannot find what I believe are genuine user reviews.

Plexaderm Review: Final Verdict

Plexaderm review: final verdict

I think you may have already guessed that I’m pretty skeptical about whether Plexaderm eye cream does much.

It contains general ingredients, there is nothing special in it that can do what the company claims.

I’m also very suspicious about it when the company appears to be trying to control how much user feedback is out there by not selling the product on websites where you can leave a feedback.

It feels like they want to manage customer reactions.

Let’s look at the pros of Plexaderm wrinkle cream:

  • Can temporarily minimize the signs of wrinkles and aging skin.
  • Can visibly and instantly change the tone of your skin.
  • Easy-to-use.
  • No real noted side effects.

In terms of the cons:

  • Using too much can tighten the skin and weaken the muscles.
  • Product ingredients are general and poorly discussed.
  • No clinical evidence to back up the claims made.
  • Can only be bought online through a few shops.
  • Preferred seller program can track you.

On top of that, the final thing I want to note is that although there is a money back guarantee on the main website, you can only return Plexaderm if it is unopened, which kind of defeats the purpose of trying it.

I think I have to say that I am completely skeptical that Plexaderm offers a solution to anti-aging or is worth the money.

Can you use foundation over the plexaderm? Will it still work?

I bought this, it does what it says but I have not been able to wear makeup. Once you put anything over it, the product and results disappear as if nothing has happened at all.

I had used plexiderm about 8 months ago, worked okay, but like you said, put anything over it, effects fade. i recently got it again, and they have changed the ingredients and had a horrible allergic reaction. It burned my skin badly, and after three days, the application area was red, swollen, dried up. It took a week for the redness to go away and the dry skin patches to fall off.

I just got plexaderm. I was so excited! Soon as I applied it I felt a burning. I now have burnt patches and swelling under my eyes. I researched the product but I didn’t add chemical burn in my search. I really learned my lesson!

It doesn’t work! Plus bad syringe constantly clogging, drying up and mine stopped dispensing all within a month. Yet when I finally got a hold of them which was a few days past 30 return period (I bought in Dec, 2017 and they’re the only company I know who doesn’t even offer extended holiday return, that should tell you something) they refuged to let me return for a refund. I’d never buy another thing from this company. They won’t stand behind their product even if it stops working so you’re stuck with a syringe that won’t dispense.

Complete ripoff indeed, does not eliminate everything as shown on tv and other media. What ever little it does is only for a couple of hours. Never did have to much wrinkles or anything any way but a bit of a bag on the right eye and did nothing for that. Used it twice and stopped and now the skin is wrinkled which I never saw before. I hope this side effect goes away as now I have real issue with the after effects of this bogus product.

received my Plexaderm yesterday, applied, within an hour it stopped working, I have bags under my eyes that I never had before, one of the ingredients is like what is in hemorrhoidal cream, looked it up, states after using under eyes, it shrinks but when it wears off you will have more bags due to the product causing the skin to shrink and then expand. Don’t waste your money. I will try to return mind.

You can’t wear make up over it at all. It’s like the stuff at the drugstore called “sudden change” or something like that. The stuff at the drugstore is also under 20 dollars too.

I recently bought the sudden change and it gives directions on how to use with foundation. It says to add a couple drops to your yhe foundation you’re applying before applying it on your face. The directions are: If you plan to use foundation, mix the two drops of Sudden Change Under-Eye Firming Serum with 1 drop foundation in the palm of your hand. Apply using the same method and leave the eye area to dry. Apply foundation to the rest of your face, making sure that the eye area remains untouched. Seems to help soften and reduce bags. Even for a couple days afterward after washing it off that night. It’s worth a shot for the price and convince.

It tightens the skin under your eyes for a short time, but at the same time, smaller wrinkles are suddenly visable. You can not wear make up over it at all, and most frustrating is the syringe. It is NOT made correctly, and stopped dispensing anything after about 10 applications. I had barely used any of it. $60.00 down the drain.

I experienced the same problems as you Linda. Can’t put makeup over it and I only used my tube about 5 or 6 times and it stopped working. They instructed me to take it apart and clean it – didn’t work. Now they won’t respond to my email! Way to expensive for the quality of product!

AGREE with both Linda and Debbie – the applicator sucks and only good for 10 applications. Thought a pebble clogged up the syringe- but only after taking pliers to it crushing it noted the material had dried up. worked great but a times stung like hell. I will never purchase again! LET THE BUYER BEWARE – DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY – VERY EXPENSIVE FOR ONLY 10 APPLICATIONS.

I noticed that it worked only alone no moisturizer can be applied because anything deactivates it. Now my under eyes are all crinkled because of it. It only makes since now It tightens and releases stretching our skin out of place. All it did was make my eyes look WORSE! So Sad. Money down the drain, it should be banned!

Guys…I bought Vine Vera product for the same exact thing. Works great! Pretty expensive but I love it. Gets rid of bags and most of the dark circles under my eyes. It is for the eyes only, but I suppose you could try it on the whole face. It is in a syringe and comes out easily so there is no waste.

Worthless, waste of money. Actually makes wrinkles more prominent and irritates skin. Bought it 3 weeks ago from plexiderm and still trying to get my money back. Every time I call, they answer right away but when I say I want to find out about getting a refund, I am transferred to customer service, placed on hold and no one ever picks up.

I did it with my CC company and had over 3000.00 cancelled in payment because the product was nothing like any of the pictures in the add. Yeppers I took complete web page copy’s of the add as I always do just to cover my butt if something sent is not what they say it is in the add.

Took to the pliers and crushed the applicator only to find the plexaderm was dried up, only after about 10 applications. Was ready to repurchase until these postings! I use Peter Thomas Roth eye tightener. This really works and was tested and has back up. I was going to try the plexaderm just to see the comparison between the two but you can’t return it if it’s open so how are you supposed to try it that makes no sense companies going to lose a lot of customers with this stupid arrangement. I mean you try on a pair of shoes before you buy them right so how are you supposed to see if this product works if you can’t try it and if it doesn’t work then you can’t return it because you opened it. I’ll stick with Peter Thomas Roth instant firm eye fix.

I bought Plexaderm Wrinkle Cream Duo from HSN and just finished trying it. After ten minutes, I absolutely saw lines in my forehead, laugh lines and around my eyes minimize HOWEVER, there was a milky residue left on my face that my husband noticed. When I wiped away, the lines came back immediately. This product is going back to HSN for a refund.

I used Plexaderm three times underneath my powdered makeup and it worked; however, I experienced side effects from using it on my under eye bags. Unfortunately, the water from the under eye bags penetrated my ears and caused my inner ears to ache and my equilibrium off. I thought I had vertigo! Everything was spinning and I could not drive nor stand up without feeling dizzy. I was also nausea for at least one day. It took almost a week for the effect of using Plexaderm to get out of my system.

I bought this recently. I put it on over my foundation which is an “iT” product and it worked. You do have to play with it some to find the correct amount to use though. As far as the white residue, I found if you spread it too thin those areas turn white. I was impressed with it
