In this Plexus Slim Review we will explain to you what is Plexus Slim, how does it work, what are its ingredients, side effects, show you real customers reviews, give you prices & recommend best alternative.
I have seen quite a lot of Plexus Slim reviews, and I became quite interested because of the polarization in viewpoints on whether it works or not.
Some people said it was brilliant, and some people said it doesn’t work, and that Plexus Slim side effects are really nasty.
It was this polarization about whether Plexus Slim products work or not, plus the accusations of some pretty significant side effects that have made me decide to write a detailed Plexus Slim review, and put the findings online here to help people make an informed choice.
Plexus make several diet products, the two main ones being Plexus Slim and Plexus triplex.
Triplex is basically the same main product but bundled up with two lots of pills, BioCleanse and ProBio 5.
So in this review I’m just going to concentrate on the main product, the dissolvable powder product that makes up the main part of the supplement.
Plexus Slim Ingredients
I will talk about the side effects reported specifically in a moment, but suffice to say at this point some people have reported quite nasty incidents.
This made me really want to dig into what is contained in this product.
So the first part of this review is to look at the Plexus ingredients, which are:
- Chromium polynicotinate
- Xylooligosaccharide
- Green coffee bean
- Garcinia cambogia
- Alpha lipoic acid
- Mulberry fruit extract
- Polydextrose
- Guar gum
I’m not going to go into massive details about every ingredient on that list. However, I will make some key points here.
1. Green coffee bean has been the target of both the FDA and the FTC. Both of these bodies have targeted companies who have made weight loss claims around products containing green copy being, as there is at present virtually zero evidence it helps.
2. Polydextrose is a synthetic glucose extract. It is found in processed foods and I suspect has been added as a covert laxative. The problem is that it causes uncomfortable flatulence.
3. Alpha lipoic acid is meant to help in metabolising energy. However it can dramatically reduce blood sugar. Even more concerningly, studies have found that ALA could be liver toxic.
4. The final ingredient I want to talk about is Guar gum. This has been found in diet products for a long time because it swells in the stomach and therefore makes you feel full. Unfortunately it’s very difficult to digest, can swell up and cause blockages in the digestive system and has been banned by the FDA in dietary products.
Plexus Slim Side Effects
So having looked at the list of ingredients, let’s look at the reported Plexus Slim side effects.
You basically mix powder with water to make what is known as the plexus pink drink.
This actually sounds a bit ominous to me, and having read about the side-effects I’m beginning to see why.
Reported side-effects include:
- Feeling jittery
- Exhaustion
- Frequent urination
- Fast heart rate and palpitations
- Headaches
- Insomnia
- Anxiety
- Flatulence
That’s a pretty worrying list of side effects for what is basically a diet drink.
What’s even more worrying is that this product has had no scientific testing and although individual ingredients have been tested, none appear to aid weight loss and no research has been done into the concoction that is Plexus Slim.
Plexus Slim Results: Does It Work?
I have to conclude from everything I have looked into, including a significant number of reviews from people who have tried it is that the answer to question, does plexus work, is no.
Although some people report feeling better, or experiencing minor weight loss, these incidences could be explained away by other things.
I’m yet to see anybody report significant and sustained plexus weight loss, backed up by evidence that stacks up.
On top of that, there is literally zero scientific study around this product.
Is Plexus Slim A Scam?
This is a difficult one.
The Plexus results don’t appear to be significant at all. People are simply not reporting weight loss in a positive manner with this supplement.
In terms of a Plexus scam, I’m going to stop short of saying it is.
But the bottom line here is that none of the ingredients in its have been proven to aid weight loss.
There is also no evidence that combining these ingredients gives any significant advantage, and the fact that the company has not commissioned any proper research into their product so that they can offer people some tangible information is suspicious.
And I have also got to say here that multilevel marketing is in evidence with this company.
You can make money from promoting this product and selling it yourself, which means that the scope for abuse of creating positive websites and reviews about this product is high.
Plexus Slim Reviews
It doesn’t really matter where you go to look at the comments left by people who have tried Plexus Slim, or Plexus Triplex.
The reviews are almost invariably negative, once you discount the blatant attempts to talk the product up through fake reviews.
Here are some examples:
“I took Plexus Slim and other Plexus products off and on for about a year and then I started to develop kidney problems …my doctor suggested to me that I get off of all Plexus products …my kidneys are slowly getting better.”
“I considers this another scam giving false hope for people that want to loss weight or have more energy. I well balance diet will give you all those beneficts”
The positive reviews on Amazon for example are mostly blatant fakes:
“Won’t go without! Way cheaper from an independent Ambassador with Plexus! The Plexus products are so much more than weight loss! Overall health and gut health are the real focus!”
Plexus Slim Price And Where To Buy It
Plexus Slim costs an eye watering $114.30 for 30 days supply (although the picture on Amazon says 60 days supply).
Even more absurdly, a month of Plexus Triple costs $203.
If you’re wondering where to buy Plexus Slim, then probably the best price you will find is on Amazon, where I got these prices from.
But I have to say that the average person, the Plexus Slim cost alone should put you off, before you even start considering side effects and a lack of evidence it works.

Plexus Slim Review: Final Verdict
I think it’s safe to say you probably already know what my final verdict is going to be in this review of Plexus Slim & Triplex.
I don’t think it works.
On top of that, I think it’s insanely expensive.
You can also buy the active ingredients separately at a far lower price. For example, on Amazon you can buy 60 capsules of garcinia cambogia for just $17.97.
I looked at the active ingredients and worked out that for the same price as a months worth of Plexus, I could buy two months worth of the active ingredients, and at a far higher dosage, more in line with the doses stated in research that has noted any weight loss at all.
